For over 40 years, Au Coquelet has used only the finest and freshest ingredients in our homemade dishes and pastries. Among the top-quality items featured in our restaurant are grass-fed Angus beef and locally-sourced meat, produce & dairy products such as Bordenave’s Bread, Petaluma eggs, Silva Sausage and our Private Blend Coffee roasted especially for us in Oakland.
We bake most of our pastries and tortes in-house, our meats are delivered fresh daily and are never frozen, we make our own lasagna and quiche from scratch, and our espresso drinks are ground-to-order on a per-cup basis.
All of our soups and salad dressings are homemade, as is our salsa, and of course our waffles are made fresh right here at Au Coquelet on our new waffle-irons.
Au Coquelet also has a wide variety of teas and Monin Italian sodas, and we are one of the only cafes in Berkeley to feature a selection of top-shelf liquors and premium beers on tap.
Au Coquelet serves breakfast lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
